What do I have to consider before treatment?

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 2–4 weeks before the peel

  • Do not use any physical peels or waxing on the area to be treated for up to 2 weeks before the peel

  • Do not use self-tanning products until 1 week before the treatment

  • Men up to 24 hours before the treatment: do not shave

  • Do not use aggressive skin care products with strong ingredients such as retinol or glycolic acids for a few days before the treatment.

  • Blood thinners should not be taken until 1 week before the treatment (e.g. Aspirin, Marcoumar, Ibuprofen, etc.)

How does the treatment work?

  2. Cleaning and disinfecting of the skin.
  3. Degreasing of the skin.
  4. Application of the peeling.
  5. Neutralization of the peeling and removal of product residues.
  6. Application of a soothing cream.

Risks and side effects

  • Frequently: redness, swelling and hematomas (bruising), skin peeling, pain/burning, temporary sensitivity of the skin to external influences (e.g. sunlight)

  • Rarely: infections, allergy/anaphylaxis, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (especially with darker skin types), scars (especially if the post-treatment recommendations are not followed), herpes activation

Contraindication
