What is it for?
Platelet-rich plasma is naturally produced in the body. Its growth factors stimulate the cells to repair and regenerate, leading to improved healing and cosmetic improvements. The skin becomes thicker and more radiant, and small wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes can disappear. Hair grows thicker and more dense.
What do I have to consider before treatment?

Blood thinners should not be taken until 1 week before the treatment (e.g. Aspirin, Marcoumar, Ibuprofen, etc.)

Avoid caffeine/tea and alcoholic drinks (e.g. cola, energy drinks, coffee, green tea, etc.) 24 hours before the treatment.

It is best not to put make-up on and be well nourished for the treatment

for hair treatments: please wash your hair beforehand and do not apply any hair products (e.g. hair mousse, hair gel, hair spray)

if you suffer from herpes, we recommend taking antivirals prophylactically (these can be purchased from us or prescribed by your GP)

How does the treatment work?

Blood is drawn from your vein.

The blood is centrifuged.

The plasma separated from the red blood components is placed in a syringe.

After cleaning the skin, the plasma is injected into the desired area.

The skin is cleaned again.
Risks and side effects
- common: redness, swelling and haematoma (bruising), pain, feeling of pressure and tension
- rare: infections, activation of herpes
- very rare: allergy (product in the test tube)

Contraindication
Age under 18 years, pregnancy/lactation, acute skin conditions in the area to be treated (e.g., acne, herpes), blood disorders (e.g., blood clotting disorder), cancer, severe systemic diseases (e.g., severe diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure or autoimmune diseases), intolerance/allergy to the products used, and known anaphylaxis.
